I really like this complication. Reminds of me of the Zeitwerk. But not really keen on the case shape. Looks a bit odd to me. |

Its very impressive but all that movement on the dial side would be seriously distracting. I have a feeling it would spend more time in the repair shop than on the wrist.

I think it's fantastic! Very bold design, and great complication.
I'm a big fan of the Zeitwerk as well. If I were choosing between the two I'd probably still go for the Lange. I don't think anything tops the utter perfection of an ALS timepiece. |

I love the complication, the Zeitwerk is cool and looks better but this has the seconds and it's more entertaining, but not sure about the shape and size

I love the Datograph and Zeitwerk, but they look so much like hockey pucks on my wrist that I know I'll never get one, too bad...

I have a VII (jump hour and minutes) and did also look at the Zeitwerk. My main problem with the Lange is that it's way way too big for most wrists (including me, even though I do wear some watches of similar dimensions). In comparison the VII wears like maybe a 37mm round case and is also 'super thin' when compared with the Zeitwerk.
Re case shape/design, how many round cases does one want. Eventually there's an urge to get something different to add to the rotation be it a Reverso a Tank or the Vagabondage. I've not seen the VIII in person yet but from the pictures I think I'm preferring the dial of the Platinum version, the Rose dial with the salmon coloured elements is not that attractive in my opinion. |

Honestly as much as I like FPJ.. i would not put this in the same class as the Zeitwerk. I agree with other commenters-- this dial is way too distracting

The FPJ is either in the same class, or it is superior for having a world-first complication. Those are your choices. |

My word choice was poor. I meant my OCD and the background would drive me nuts.
