Measuring Accuracy

Does any one have a recommendation for a methods of measuring accuracy that do not require purchasing any expensive tools?

Apps, Websites, etc...

Also how often should accuracy be measured?

Thanks

I know there is an app for iOS (not sure about android, if there is one I'd like to know.) I forget what it's called (I believe it's called "Watch Tracker" IIRC.)

I am sure there are some other ones and people who use them will be by shortly. Good luck

I use the watch tracker app on my iPhone. It's only as accurate as I am though, meaning I have to hit the screen when the second hand is at the stated time so it depends how close my reaction time is.

You asked how often you should do it. As often as you want. It's really not necessary and I only do it because I find it interesting (I know, I need to get out more).

Dont know how accurate it is

Just check time with any reliable time source even a quartz clock or watch will do I check mine once a month or so at gov time.Even then my wearing watch is seldom a minute out either way, take my advice dont get to anal about constant time checking, or start buying these phone apps as they are not 100% accurate.

I use Watchville. It is a nice app that pulls from numerous watch enthusiasts blogs for watch news and it offers a clock that I set my watches to. Accurate enough for my purposes.

Even quartz watches and clocks drift, so it's best to use a reliable reference like this one:

Sound advice. I use this source when resetting the calendar every 2-3 months.
