Icon20 Anyone here ride a super scooter or moped over 350cc ???

scooter info is preferred but feel free to hijack the thread with other bikes too if you like.

i'm mainly curious as i'm looking at getting one. two years ago i wanted to get back into riding after a 10yr hiatus but couldn't settle on a bike. but a friend got a bmw c650 recently and is having a great time riding around town. i'm looking at 400cc plus sizes before i go shopping; what do you ride?

What are you looking to do with it? Putt around town? Zipp around town? That engine size is NOT a moped. One option is to check out the super motards. It's basically a dual sport/dirt bike on sportbike tires. Suzuki makes the DRZ and KTM has the Duke. Both are really cool bikes.

My buddy has the KTM and it's so damn cool. I would love to have one but alas, my wife would kill me.

I think Honda makes a 650 scooter that would fit the bill. If you don't want to fool with a clutch, you could always get the supermotard with rekluse clutch system. They have been used in GNCC and hare scramble racing for several years now. Very reliable.
