SubC Bezel

Did anyone attempt to change the ceramic bezel of a SubC?

I would like to change the bezel of my 114060 to a green bezel. I did research and it was easy to interchange bezels for pre-ceramic bezels. Apparently, the same cannot be said for the newer bezels.

I cannot speak for the bezel in the SubC, but ceramic bezels can snap or break very easily. I have broken several when modifying Seikos.

Do you have a green Ceramic insert to use as a replacement??

Won't happen without the proper tools. Don't even try it.

Nope. Even most professional watchmakers are scared to do this. It requires a massive jig and if you've ever seen anyone do it, you watch them line up the insert, bring the jig down and you here a massive "POP!" that sounds like ceramic cracking.

What I'm trying to say is it's not easy, and I've never met a watchmaker who's willing to do it. In fact I've sent 2 subs to Rolex themselves and they refused to do it. Stakes are too high, those ceramic inserts are expensive.

If you ever find a way to make it happen would love to see! I think that would be a cool mod on a 114060.

Too bad. Imagine a green bezel on our SubC.
Apparently it was much easier before, before the ceramic era. I am now kind of disappointed.

Furthermore, I read that a ceramic bezel is very expensive. One post a few years ago mentioned $800US. Wow.......

A full bezel swap is possible. Changing the ceramic insert itself is unheard of. You want both bezels anyway to keep the watch legit.
