Removing stubborn dirt marks on TT bracelet
Hello,
My TT bracelet has been collecting dirt on the inside. I have got an old camera and close up shots are not very focused - sorry. Anyway, I have been using shower gel and a soft tooth brush to clean it, but shades of black remain. When I look closer, there appears to be brushed groves and scratches on this particular link and on another link. Both links meet the end of the clasp when closed, hence I believe is the cause for the scratches or agitation. Apart from using an ultra sound cleaner which I know some in this forum have, what is the next best thing to clean this dirt marks? |

Spray a little scrubbing bubbles on it, see if that works. Just try not to get any on the crown. Personally, I would the bracelet off and give it a good cleaning.

The back of that one link looks like its being polished by the clasp in the closed position.
To get it extra clean, take it to a jeweler. They often have a high powered steamer that really gets the dirt out.

Hello,
"My TT bracelet has been collecting dirt on the inside. I have got an old camera and close up shots are not very focused - sorry." I'm glad you asked. here is the process I use and it seems to work for me: I use kerosene on mine mostly, and while cleaning I find the secondary effect of getting high quite pleasant. If I'm all ready high before I start the cleaning process, I usually soak the GMT in a can of Budweiser and shake it vigorously to get those "scrubbin' bubbles" agitated just right. Either way, both the watch and I have a real fine time before it's all over with.

I found something that cleaned off the dirt. This can remove sh*t yet is gentle on soft skin ...
I figured if it's good enough for my son ... it good enough for the Rolex which he will inherit one day |

IMO you should wear the watch on your wrist
instead of in your pocket.

If you need steam and have a cappuccino machine you can use the milk steamer to clean your watch band. Works like a charm!

I would use a non-toxic, biodegradable, environmentally safe cleaner such as Simple Green.
