New HODINKEE 1 OFF RESSENCE TYPE 3

https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/re...n-for-hodinkee

Not very interesting to me but this website has some power with all the special editions they are bringing in. I am sure it will sell out quickly.
Finishing on the closeup pictures was blah...

$22,500 for a SS Modified ETA.
Only 20 pieces though.

Thoughts anyone?

personally, i love it. But, i really like Ressence anyway. I would probably choose a type 3 over this though as i really like the fluid filled case. The Hodinkee edition is superior to the regular production type 1 though IMHO.

The regular type 1 retails for around 18,500 USD(£14850) in the UK (no idea on US pricing for a regular type 1) , so an additional 4K for a skeletonized version isn't unreasonable. My guess is thats what most of the extra cost is from, not the Hondikee branding.

Not for me but I'm sure some Silicon Valley nerds will buy up the 20 fast.

I like the concept of Resence watches, but their designs are not very appealing to me, this watch is no exception

Nah. Liking Hodinkee less and less. Way overpriced and taking watch enthusiasm out of true enthusiasts and packing it safe and cool for the hipster crowd

I am sure they were sold out before they hit the net.

That watch is a disaster to say the least.

I've always been attracted to Ressence, I love their design but could never justify their prices.

Not for me. Good luck to them. I'm sure there are enough takers out there and they'll sell out like their prior limited editions.

The limited edition Hodinkee Nomos Metro they were selling late last year is now available from Nomos but without the chronometer certification & limited edition numbering.

Kind of cool that you wind and set it with the case back. No crown. 12mm thick is a good thin size and slimmer than previous models. I like the design, but at 22k they are in Rolex PM, PP, ALS and AP range. No chance I would drop that kind of coin on something with minimal pedigree.

They were sold out within the hour i believe.

Watch brands must be watching and I am sure they are lined up to Hodinkee at this point for the next collaboration.

this is true, though to be fair I find it less objectionable when pricing for the limited edition hodinkee and for the generally available version are exactly the same...
