114060 from bracelet to strap

Do any of you that have worn a 114060 on a bracelet for months move over to straps and feel it looks a little weird with lug width? Considering buying a strap for it but I am thinking it the head might look a bit to large for leather

I am a fan of straps (just not leather on a sports model). NATO, nylon straps are cool and comfortable. Just my thoughts.

I have some natos and I don't like how they lift the watch head up so high personally

114060 from bracelet to strap

Rubberb or everest.

But its very common that people go back to bracelet after a while.

But try it.

I really dislike the look of the rubber bands, was thinking maybe about an Everest leather band.
I just don't like the Everest leather which is holding me back lol. Was thinking of having combat straps make me a band once I get my other one in from them (for my iwc).

I think it might look okay on a chunky distressed leather strap to give it a rugged look, but like others have said rubber is probably the best match in terms of strap-lug ratio. A nato is also classic but I think the lug widths would look a bit funny in that situation. However natos are extremely cheap so buy a couple and try it out. Nothing to lose just don't scratch your case when you're making the swap!

I think the 114060 wears really well on a nato. Pictures don't do it justice. I always found this combo very comfortable before I sold the watch, and I thought it looked great in real life!

I'm a fan of the 114060 obviously as I own it. That said the lugs look terrible on nato and leather compared to the ss bracelet.

I enjoyed mine on NATO for a bit, but ultimately went back to the bracelet because it's just perfect IMO.

I want to like a Sub on a nato, but I never stick with it anytime I strap it on. Maybe I don't have the right color combinations?

Taking the watch head off the bracelet is one of the most liberating things.

Straps (Perlon/Nato) are $9-$14 depending on the website - leather about $20-$25.

Spring is here, summer around the corner. You can get many colors working and it's fun.

Of course super lucky if you can find one with the rolex clasp.

Any body have a leather strap on the larger 114060 style case pic?

I don't like how leather looks on Subs, GMTs, etc. A leather strap is a must on a lot of Omega's watches like the SMP but for Rolex either the original bracelet or NATO look best. Everest makes quality rubber straps that fit snugly but imo they just don't look right with the watches either. Leather really suits the dressier Datejusts and Day Dates though and helps to keep wear on especially the President bracelet down to a minimum.

This looks really nice. Having this buckle style clasp or the same style as found on the bracelet really adds an extra touch to the look. It costs more for sure but it's worth it.
