This specific 1979 Rolex Submariner Ref. 5513 is in absolutely stunning condition and retains its original MK III MAXI dial. The Maxi MK III dial is a favorite among many 5513 collectors because its large tritium hour plots appear to touch the five-minute hash marks giving it the nickname “Lollipop Dial" The dial is commonly seen in cases stamped in the 5 to 6 mil serial range.

There are several features of the Maxi III Dial that are distinct:

The large tritium hour plots that often appear to touch the 5 minute hash marks
The large “open 6’s”, the unique serif on the “f” in the depth rating
The fact that the two “0’s” in the “200m” depth rating line up directly underneath the “N and E” in “SUBMARINER”

CASE & BRACELET

The case is in overall excellent condition and retains thick and full lugs, with original factory bevel still present on the lugs. The original 93150 bracelets shows very minimal stretch and retains the original 580 end links show a minor stretch and come with 11 links. The original fat font insert is in good overall condition and remains deep black in coloration.

DIAL & HANDS

The original matte black MAXI MK III "lollipop" dial is in immaculate and in untouched condition. The lume plots and matching hands have achieved an ivory-like patina and remain fully intact.

ACCESSORIES

None. The watch was recently serviced and is running at COSC spec backed by a 1-year warranty on the accuracy of timekeeping.
