My First Rolex Problem
Quick Q guys and gals.
Well, I had a minor freak out this morning as my sub was 30 mins fast (or so I thought). Basically it must have happened when I switched by Date earlier this month. I haven't work my sub in about a week (been on the winder). Turns out it isn't 30 mins fast, but 2 days slow!!!! The date was on the 6th (today is the 8th). So I was resetting it to GMT time today and I noticed that when I was changing the date, but hour and min hand were flinching or wiggling with each passing date change. Also, when I made the adjustment to the time after setting the date, I pushed my crown back in and the time didn't start running (second hand not moving). So I was like :wtf:! I was screwed the crown back down and was going to go to AD (still under warranty), but when I screwed it back down. Everything worked again and has been dead on since I set it. Thoughts, concerns, advice. BTW, I have TONS of warranty left, so no rush (like 4.5 years). Thanks, -Mik

What it could possibly be is 2 things.....
1. You are not having enough Turns per day on your winder. This will cause the watch to stop and start thus loosing time and days. 2. the batterys may need to be replaced which even if you are using the proper turns per day week batteries wont keep up with the proper winding of your watch If the batteries are good....wind the watch set then TPD higher and all should be ok!

Does anyone have an idea about the hour/min hands jumping a little when I switch the date on the quickset? Thanks.

Yes but it might not be turning the watch enough times. it needs at least 650 to 800 TPD or the watch will start and stop while on the winder.
Not sure about your 2nd issue.
