Is it possible to over wind my Rolex?
Hi,
I just recently purchased a pre owned (1986) OP Date 34mm and my question is can it be overwound? I read somewhere to wind it 15 times, another site said 20 times and yet another 40 times. I don't wear it all the time, hence the need to wind it each week. Any thoughts/advice on this would be greatly appreciated. Steve. |

Wind it 30-40 turns a week and you'll be fine.

Nope. The mainspring will just slip in the barrel when it's fully wound. You're all good.

You will probably be able to feel it when the watch is wound...I know I can on most of mine.
