Thought I knew what I wanted...
So, I'll preface this by saying my original intention joining this forum was to seek out a new insert for my 16710 while contemplating a new purchase to celebrate my birthday.
Well, I thought I knew what I wanted (DJ41) till I came across a Sub which has been my all time favorite watch since a child. Of course for good measure... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Go for the Sub first then, and the DJ next, classic pairing, I had the same once.

I think the DJ is a good choice. It's enough of a sport watch for 99% of the population. It's more of a sport watch than the Sub is an office watch, put it that way.

I love the Sub. I currently have the GMTII and was looking for something a little different. I walked in with the intent to purchase the DJ41, but couldn't resist the Sub. So I walked out to think which route to go! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I vote SubC but I'm biased because I chos that for myself as my one and only watch and I actively dislike the DJ41 (Datejusts should be 36mm for my taste...love those ones). So maybe not a fair judgement. But you said yourself it's been your favorite since you were a kid so why not do it?
You almost never hear someone who chooses the Sub and regrets it. I'm sure it happens, but seems pretty rare. |

I'm digging that model each time I look at it. Figured it would complement my GMTII nicely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Was a true blue 36mm wearer till I tried the DJ41 on. Just right for me because if the flatter case than a DJ2 by a hair. The 70hr power reserve also got me.

Haha...no. I am extremely tough on my watch. I wear it every day hunt, fish, and shoot with it. I don't think I've ever not worn it since I bought it 15-16 yrs ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Always a fan of the Sub over the DJ41. The DJ41 doesn't do anything for me though.

Well, I decided on the DJ41! Just loved the dial and look. Figured it was my first choice from the beginning for a reason. Great looking piece!

Well, I walked in intending on buying the DJ41 the first time. I was distracted slightly, but followed through on the return trip and picked up the DJ41 oyster with the rhodium dial.

That's my favorite dial option for the new 41. Congrats!
You can get a good deal on a pre-loved Sub down the road. |

Well, I'll say I I drew a couple of angry stares. As I went with the heart. I decided to return the DJ41 and go with the Sub. This has always been my fav watch as long as I remembered and had to go back for it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Correct decision IMO, had mine for nearly five years and it gets the most wrist time.
