Is this some kind of helium release valve?

Here is the watch: Please see 3rd row, 1st col, in pics ...looks like the helium escape valve, in its infancy .... I think the only pressure this watch can take is the pressure diff from top of one floor of a building to the bottom floor ...

Actually those indents are used to set the various functions; month, date, day, moon quarter.... that watch looks correct but I'm sure the Patek experts will chime in shortly!

Post script... if you do a search under the name and model number you'll find an old listing from "watchuseek" from 2006 with more info on this watch...

The seller, watchcommander, is very reputable, handles some very high end watches. He is well known for the vintage Rolex.

Err buddies...Orchi concurs that the watch hasn't got any issues...

One of these days...Orchi shall want to collect at least 1 x PP watch...
before Orchi kicks the bucket...so to speak...

Can't bring along the excess $ into the grave...

Yes, those Pateks have a little stylus that is used to set the complications.
