I saw this too. Not to be disrespectful, but how does he tell the time with a Rolex if he's blind? Or is it worn in the fashion sense? I don't mean to be insensitive, just curious.

Probably enjoys the heft of the platinum and likes to listen to it tick. I don't set the time on any of my watches but enjoy the immensely.

I mentioned this to a co-worker last night and he said Rolex probably modified it for him. I find that hard to believe. But I can imagine someone wanting to experience the joy of owning a Rolex, even if they can't see it. I wouldn't want to be limited from anything because of a disability. either. I say good for him.

Not every blind person wants to "look the part". He's performing sleight of hand tricks with his pass thru shuffling and dealing from the second or third card in the deck. Wearing a watch will throw off observers who aren't aware he's blind, and make the "reveal" that much more astonishing........

I am also curious as to the water resistance rating of a Rolex with a 'flip-up' crystal. |
