Gasoline prices??

Just curious on the price of gasoline our members are paying at the pump.
This morning, regular was $0.999/litre, on the way home it was up to $1.122/l Candian.
For our American friends, this works out to about $3.21/us gallon or $3.60 in the aftenoon ( US dollars)
Robbery I say, pure and simple

USD 2.999 for supreme (93 octane) today.
It costed me a small fortune to fill up my tank.
The fact that I average 12.6 miles per galon in urban traffic does not help either. My watch fund is getting thinner by the gallon...

Going bloody ballistic here.....up to NZ$1.62/ltr. for 91 octane and NZ$1.67 for the 96 grade!!

Gold bullion has smashed through the US$600 per troy oz. mark!!! What's next? Are we going to see some ridiculous Rolex price hikes too?

You are very lucky with those prices you want to try rip off Britain.Well now in rural Wales 95p litre = £4.75 per gall, or $8.32919 per 5 litres 95 octane, prices in the major town are around 90p litre.

On the way to work yesterday the place I get gas at was $2.73 for 89 and on the way home it was $2.78 This was at a BJ's gas station. On my route it was $2.78 in the am and $2.83 in the pm. The thing that amazes me is that when they raise the prices, it's the same friggin gas in the ground that you are paying more for. Not re-filled underground tanks with a fresh batch of gas in them that cost more to refine or transport. The same F****NG batch.

I filled up on Sunday at $3.00.9/US gal. for 93 octane. Cost US$ 54 to fill up. That was at the cheapest Shell station around. I don't look at regular, neither of our cars will support it. Driving around, I saw 93 octane at $3.15.9 - 3.18.9. Around here, BP seems to be most expensive, with Exxon coming in a close second.

You gotta remember, Peter, over here we're not used to paying outlandish prices for fuel. We are getting sticker shock on a weekly, and sometimes a daily, basis.

Also keep in mind the exchange rate. The pound sterling is about double a Canuck buck... but I also understand the pay in the UK is substantially more (on average) than on this side of the pond.

Not to say you're not paying an exhorbitant amount, Peter... but all things are relative, unless your name is Adrian... the bastid.

Euro 95 = US$ 1.94 litre = UK 1.12 (Padi, you lucky devil) Today Shell have increased the prices again. Now I know why Shell have posted the largest quarterly profit in history. However, our greedy Dutch taxmen grab 60% of the gasstation price

What a lot of whining old girls blouses you Americans and Canucks are.Cheap fuel for donkeys years, driving around in huge gas guzzling cars,Afraid now its payback time big-time.We poor Europeans have been paying exorbitant fuel prices for decades, and now they have started on domestic fuel as well, welcome to the real world, the one outside the Americas.

Last night I noticed it was 'down' to 97 cents a litre. This morning back up to $1.03.3 a litre. Wouldn't have anything to do with this being a long weekend, would it?

You're quite right, Johnny. In NZ, prices are expected to hit 2 dollars per litre by the end of this year!!

Yeah but when you live in a country where the greedy Dutch government subsidize your pot purchases, why are you complaining?
