New Tempus Machina
Tempus Machina released a new watch today. I know some of the purists do not care for modified watches, but the craftsmanship/execution on these is quite remarkable IMO. Check out the old school relief gilt dial and handwork of the case shaping and chamfers. I am a fan of all their creations but really liking the tribute to the 6542!

They do make some very nice pieces IMO no doubt about that. But for $35,000 there are a lot of watches I would rather buy

I've never seen these before. Really like the reworked cases, but not a fan of the dial and removal of the crown protectors at all.

Looks cool, but for 37k I'm not going to be a buyer anytime soon. None of the stuff done to the watch adds any value.

Looks nice but as others have said that's pricey.

They make some really cool pieces that are well done. Would I buy one? No but only because of the price.

I won't pretend to be a strict purist, but somehow this just seems wrong to me. I get the same vibe from this as I would from a back alley fauxlex. I appreciate the craftsmanship and the fact that it started out as an authentic Rolex, but making it something that it's not is tantamount to a replica to me
