14060M Discontinued ?

Anyone out there have the facts ? One of my friends mentioned to me that this watch has been discontinued, but wasn't 100% comfortable with the source of his information.

The non COSC version has been replaced by the COSC version. But the older style dial is still in every dealer inventory, or at least all that I've seen. The COSC (SCOC) version is becoming more and more available...and harkens back to the 5512 of the old days. Figuring it'll go away (the 14060M) when the new Sub is unleashed (two years or so?), the version w/ the 4-line dial will have a 4 year or so production, as did the old 5512. But you'll be able to find the older version (w/ the 2-line dial), similar to the 5513, for quite a while, both new and used. 5513's are all over the place, but the 5512's are more rare, and have gone up in price quite a lot in the last few years.

I've already had, and sold, the newer version (COSC version), and will replace it in the next year or so, to keep for my son. It'll be a classic, and is a very nice dial (balanced w/out the date & cyclops), and I'm a much bigger fan of the 4 lines of writing vs. the old 14060M.

Discontinuing the 14060M line is just sad...

Rolex is turning their back on over 50 years of tradition just to cave in to temporary fashion trends. Unreal.

If it's not moving, what does one do?

Personally, I preferred the non-COSC 14060M.
