Incoming: SD43 inside!

So this new incoming is a bit of an unexpected one for me. I have to admit that I was one of those haters of the new SD43 after reading the early articles. I didn't understand why it was 43mm and why it had a cyclops. The only thing I really liked was the red text on the dial.

I saw the new SD43 at Baselworld earlier this year and I wasn't blown away by it. However, it was hard to really give it a fair assessment since I could only see it through glass at the Rolex booth.

Fast forward to last week- A good friend of mine gives me a call saying that his name came up at the AD for the SD43 but is going to pass on it and asks if I want it. I go out on a limb and buy the watch thinking that I could at least get my money back if I didn't like it.

After receiving the watch and wearing it around for a day all my hate completely dissipated. The SD43 is a great piece. It's so well balanced and perfectly proportioned all throughout, the size wears great on my 7.25 inch wrist, and its incredibly comfortable for its size. Rolex really nailed it by not sacrificing comfort when deciding to up the size from the SD4k. So I decided to keep it and finally took the stickers off.

Now for some mandatory pics!

It's definitely not huge. I daily wear a BLNR so the SD43 felt big on my wrist for the first hour or so. It never felt too big though. You get used to it quick because of how well it's proportioned. It's also not top heavy like the DSSD

Wrist measurements are like wiener measurements--everyone exaggerates!

Looks great Patty! I just picked one up myself. Did you remove the divers extension or sized it with it?
