Obtaining an A. Lange & Sohne: Multiple watch Trade Musings...
OK...
I do NOT normally post these sort of threads, so perhaps I feel a bit entitled. Lord knows I've read enough "help me decide" and this or that threads over the years...so please indulge me / delight me with your thoughts. Considering trading a Blue Dial AP Royal Oak 15300 + a Milgauss GV toward a pre-owned White Gold A. Lange & Sohne 1815 Up / Down. All watches are in great condition. The AP of course, has a few (very light) unavoidable scuffs on the bezel. I think these appeared after I stared at the watch too long. I love both the AP & Millie...but have also been in love with Lange for some time. I know I would have a *very* tough time ever replacing the AP as it is discontinued and the Blue Dial seems to get more rare. The Millie is pretty garden variety, and I like it as well. Both watches are not seen in the wild as often as others, which is another reason for the appeal. The Lange would fall in this category. The Lange is gorgeous...simple / time only & hand wound. As it is pre-owned, it has already taken its deprecation hit. At 39mm, it is a great size and heirloom worthy as well. It is a pure dress watch, but surely I could wear it with everything I would have worn the AP / Millie with... At any rate, thoughts appreciated. Cheers. |
