Incoming: First new Rolex
I got my first Rolex back in May, a Sea Dweller 16600. I really love the reference and have since upgraded to a non-polished 16600 with tritium dial. A true keeper. However, I missed the lume and I really wanted to see what a modern Rolex was all about. I also wanted the full kit, brand new, never worn, stickers and all.
I decided on the 114060 and it showed up on Saturday morning. Because I didn't want to screw up resizing the bracelet myself, I stopped off to see Giovanni at the Rolex authorized service center here in SF to have it done properly. He is the best! After two days of waiting I finally got to strap it on and I love it! The new bracelet, the fit, all of it, just wow. Peeling all those little stickers off was pretty rewarding as well. Definitely a watch that will be my every day watch for a long time. |
