Rolex open 6 and 9
Question:
I have a Rolex Datejust 16234 that dates to a 1991 with a sapphire crystal. The datewheel has open 6's and 9's...Just confirming this is correct for this age... Thanks TRF! |

My 1993 16233 had closed 6 & 9.
Have you looked it up on Chrono24, for same year examples? |

It is generally accepted that around 1992 is when Rolex phased out the open 6 and 9 and started the closed numbers on the date wheels.
