How many of y'all have a 14060M as a daily wearer?

I've been looking for something to purchase as an heirloom piece, something to wear everyday and pass down to my son in 25 years or so. After endless research and trying on many watches, I think I've settled on a 14060M 4-liner. No offense to anyone that owns a 114060, my personal preference is just for the look and feel of the 14060M.

With that said, how many of y'all wear a 14060M as your daily? Any reason this watch shouldn't last a lifetime and then some (assuming regular servicing and maintenance)?

I have both 14060 and 114060, to be honest the 14060 doesn't get much wear compared to 114060. They are perfect daily wearers that will indeed last a lifetime. I prefer the 2 liner also just makes it more simple.

Have you tried both? In pictures the older one might have a "charm" to it. But in the metal the 114060 feels far more substantial. Esp bracelet and buckle. Makes you wonder if it should be worth alot more than 14060M. I've had both but only kept the 114060.

I own both 14060M (2 liner) and 114060 and both get the same wrist time. Can't say I have a favorite.

I wore my 14060m 4 liner daily for over five years until I bought a new LV last year. Since then its hasn't had much use as I find going back to the older style bracelet and clasp a big disappointment. It wasn't an issue at the time but having now got used to the amount of adjustment and the comfort of the new one I'll probably end up moving the 14060m on at some point in the future.

OP I'm with you, tried on a 114060 but bought a 14060M.
It's a perfect do everything, wear everyday watch.

None whatsoever. Even the four digit Rolex with proper maintenance it'd last several lifetimes. Part of the reason Rolex is so popular, that robustness.

14060 is a great choice, personally prefer the 2 liner though but no losers for sure.

I wore a 14060m just about every day for a couple of years. Now it part of a rotation. I think that watch can handle just about anything!

I have too many watches to have a daily wearer, but I do have a 14060M that I will sometimes wear for anywhere from a couple of weeks to about a month.

There's no reason that any Rolex Oyster can't last a lifetime or two with reasonable care.

My 14060M is my work watch, Monday to Friday. I wear it on a Rubber B tang buckle strap as I spend most of my day at a keyboard, and this is the most comfortable. It’s a great watch, especially if your wrist is more on the slender side.

I used to wear my 14060 (not M) a lot but it's been upstaged recently. Daily wasn't daily but it was in rotation with all my watches.



Last Saturday I received my Sea Dweller 116600!



I previously had a 114060 but I actually liked the 14060 more. I didn't like the squared off frame of the 114060 as much as the tapered frame of the 14060.

I have the best of both worlds. The 14060M 2 liner but with a glidelock clasp. Old world charm with a bit of modern sprinkled in. I wear it all the time and as comfortable as it is, I sometimes forget its on my wrist until I look down for the time.

I have a 14060M 2 liner...I don't wear it daily but often. With a bit of care it will outlast you and be passed down or on.

Two-liner 14060m is my daily wearer. 14 years old (but new to me earlier this year) and keeping time at around 1/2 second per day. I don’t see why this watch won’t last for a lifetime.

Not to be too dramatic or anything, but to me the 14060m is an almost perfect watch. Tool enough to beat up in casual settings, but sleek enough (by modern standards) to wear to work with a suit almost very day.

I had a chance to try and wear the 114060 and I just didn’t like it as much as the older model. The maxi case and chunky lugs never looked right to me. My wrist is a relatively small 6.75” so that may have had something to do with it. Not knocking the newer model, it just wasn’t for me.

i don't know anyone here who's a 1 watch wearer 365 days.

I'm going to suggest that after 25 years of use, the original bracelet will likely be toast. But otherwise, sure, if you take care of it and have it regularly serviced, it should last just fine.

I would buy it only because you like it, not because your son will want an old, beat-up 30 year-old watch when everyone has a GPS-enabled implant in their left eyeball.

No reason why a Sub would not last through your lifetime and your son's.
