116710 Chromalight Lume

Currently without a Rolex for the first time since 1984; and it's actually a wee bit depressing.

I'm in the market for a pre-owned 116710 GMT II but I like the blue Chromalight Lume.

Does anyone know what year Rolex started putting that lume in the GMT II?

Thanks

Hope is not a strategy.

When Rolex issued 116710BLNR (with Chromalight lume) in 2013, all the other modern GMT Master II watches changed their lume from green Superluminova to aqua blue Chromalight tacitly.

I guess what I'm asking is if I find a pre-owned Circa 2009 or so model, will it have Chromalight or the Superluminova?

I can't answer for certain, but I do know that I owned a 2009 GMT that had green lume and two years later my 2011 Sub had blue. I actually preferred the green...it was brighter and easier to read.

Superluminova, but that looks way nicer with the green on the watch and Rolex will eventually update it anyway during service. So don't let that hold you off, embrace it

Maybe I'm the only one but the blue lume looks green enough to me that it's a moot point. NONE of my blue lume watches look anything like they do on the website.
