Excited New Member
My grandfather recently passed away and I have inherited his Rolex Submariner circa 1978. When going through the drawers of his old work stuff we found an old Omega Seamaster circa "I don't know when," that nobody else in the family seemed to want. Needless to say I am now the proud owner of two sentimental timepieces. Looking forward to the wealth of knowledge on this forum as I have no idea how to take care of an older watch, and would like to keep these things going for years to come.

Welcome and graet that you have his watches to remember him by.
If there are no records, it might be a good idea to send it in for a service estimate. |

Welcome.
Nothing more special than a sentimental piece. I have an old pocket watch that belonged to my grandfather. I rarely use it, but it still has lots of meaning. |

Thank you for all the warm welcomes. Just got the Rolex back from the shop as I was getting some condensation on the inside of the crystal. The Omega is saved for the occasion where a navy suit gets taken out of the closet, looks great with the navy suit/tan shoes and belt combo. Thought I'd post a pic of both of them.
