Spring Bar and Bracelet Questions

For vintage Rolex, does having an authentic Rolex Spring Bar matter in terms of valuation and originality of the piece? For bracelets there are clasp codes and serial numbers attributing to the year and this should match the serial number of the watch case to be original overall.

How about spring bars? Or do generic spring bars do the trick and spring bars do not really matter in terms of valuation

Spring bars don't matter for valuation apart from gold references imo.
My DD has solid gold spring bars which are "expensive" to replace.

Personally I would never fit generic or after market spring bars on an expensive watch. I don't trust the quality and fear one may fail easily.
Does not make sense to put a one dollar spring bar on a Rolex.

damn that looks terrible. imagine putting your $6000 rolex in balance on that one.

For spring bars, do I have to purchase through the RSC to get a genuine NOS spring bar for Rolex or can anyone direct me to a seller here who has bought Genuine Rolex spring bars? Thanks! Model i'm looking to get a genuine spring bar for is a 16700 GMT
