Outrageous service at watch dealer today.
So the crystal on my 16233 is crooked for whatever reason, and in order to save money I decide to go to a jeweler/watchmaker chain in my city. I ask the service if it was possible for them to straighten the crystal so I hand her the watch. It is a 16233 with a Preik caseback installed. First thing she tells me "This watch is a fake". I literally told her 4 times that its an original and she still didn't believe me and even went as far as telling me that they would have to keep the watch and demolish it if it was indeed a fake. In the end she ended up telling me to go to the AD and have it straightened there as they don't work on rolexes anyways and send them to the AD. After all that I wasn't going to leave the watch there anyways. Do you have any similar or funny stories to tell? I was really surprised to be treated that way. Must be because im 20 years old and she couldn't believe I would own a real Rolex. Little does she know I come from a family of watchmakers and watch enthusiasts.
