Rolex colors and coordinating clothing

Do you ever think about it? Put any effort into it?

I’m not a slave to matching, but sometimes it’s fun.

Sometimes it works out, today it did =) but usually don't coordinate the colours. I usually just wear whichever watch I feel for that day.

Hate to admit it, but yes I do. More so when my collection was larger, but still match colors and metals for the most part.

Never. My Rolex is its own statement. To me it’s like trying to match your auto paint to your wardrobe. If it happens on a odd day, it’s purely a coincidence.

OP, I own those shoes as well.

Sometimes I do but in the negative- like if I am wearing something and the watch doesn’t really go that well, I’ll swap it out . I know that actually sounds ridiculous because most watches will go with anything .

No I really don’t. I don’t think those are reallly the same blues either, at least in the photo. Unless I’m wearing a leather strap for some reason, I’m which case i usually try to match the leather color to my shoes.

I do pay attention to color and to extent match them. But, if I am traveling with one watch OR am going on a particular outing that calls for a certain watch, matching goes out the window.

Kind of in the same boat. My sea dwellers, white face Daytona, speedy, 14060, all pretty much go with anything. Event my 16710 Pepsi can go with about anything I wear. Even though the sub lvc is high on my want list I keep hesitating...well that and the inflated prices.

First pic I took of my first Rolex, a few minutes after I got it home from the AD. I’ll admit to purposely wearing the blue sweater.

I don't necessarily try to match colors, but I might try on a couple to see what feels/looks better with a particular outfit and style.

Hi Mystro!

I don't mean to thread jack, I am just curious, what kind of shoes are those?

Is there a specific name for that shoe style?

Many thanks

I try to match when I can.

I think it is nice to use a shirt or sweater that compliments the watch.

I have a 2 black dial watches and a blue YM. So when I’m wearing blue in some shade (not necessarily an exact match) I wear the YM. When I’m not wearing blue I wear the black dials.

With the Explorer I never have to think about it. But with the white Milgauss I definitely tend to wear more white shirts. The white on white really works. So yep, I adjust my wardrobe to my watch.

Interestingly since I've gotten into Rolexes I feel like I definitely dress better. I think that's a positive especially at work. You can't be too professional.
