Incoming (Tudor Warning)

After a very busy weekend, I'm finally getting around to posting this. On Friday, I took delivery of a brand new Tudor Black Bay Steel. I bought from Takuya here at TRF and was very impressed; Thanh is as good as everyone here says he is!

Many of the Tudors have been resonating with me and this steel has been the latest one.

There is something very appealing about many of these new Tudors. I'm loving them, though justifying on price has only equaled buying more of them.

Very nice watch, love the Date feature it has ..I was so close to buying this watch lately but I am holding out with hopes that during Basel 18 Tudor releases this watch but with a Black Bezel. Then I'd buy that watch in a heart beat!

I like the steel bezel look on dive watches. It reminds me of an older Tudor Hydronaut I used to own with the black dial and the silver bezel. In a world of black dial and black bezel dive watches, the steel bezels are a bit more unique. The only downside to the Hydronaut bezel was that it was painted (or perhaps anodized) silver and it could scratch.

A very nice pick. You're right the price points allow more incoming.

You know what?

I'm too damn old to be buying another watch, but by gum, I'm going to get me one of those before the year is out, should I live so long.

Congratulations!

IMO, Tudor has put out some incredible new models as of late. In the past few years, I have actually been more intrigued by what Tudor is releasing at Basel than Rolex - by a good margin. Throw the cost out the window - these are incredibly high quality, gorgeous references that rival just about any other Swiss make on the market. The fact that they are made in-house by Rolex at a fraction of the cost is just a bonus, as far as I'm concerned. The newest models blend timeless, vintage looks with the latest and greatest in-house movements... What's not to love?!? I don't think any collection is complete without at least one!

Picked up my BB steel a day or two after you. I love waking up and putting it on my wrist right away. Has the honeymoon worn off yet? I'm expecting it won't for a long time.
