How To Build Your Own Watch From eBay Parts !

Hey Guys:

Here is a cool video by Mark Lovick on how to assemble a watch from eBay sourced parts....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDfde-nmtKg

File this one under Watch Making 101!

Enjoy!

That's very interesting, but frankly, I'd rather just pick up a nice Parnis that someone else has gone to the trouble of assembling.

I'm not sure how much he saved, but it wouldn't be worth my time.

That was a nice process to follow. Seems like a nice hobby for someone willing to give that a try

One day I’d love to take the time to get into watchmaking. If there were just more hours in the day...

I’ve built several watches in the past couple of years, and it is very rewarding/learning experience! Great way to occupy a cold rainy day, and create some nice gifts for others .................. now some friends and family expect a new watch !

Hey Guys:

Thanks for the feedback; I feel the same way that it might be a great way to get involved in watchmaking without a lot of cash out-lay!

I now have several PARNIS watches that are "one-of-a-kind" because I added/swapped out some parts purchased off of eBay...

Be safe,

I actually prefer to use 37mm & 42mm Seiko 5 cases though. Greater parts selection & waterproof to 100 meters.
