I think the price is about 400 too high. For another 500 you can get into a decent acrylic quickset Datejust. I just sold a two tone DJ for $3000 and get them into the store I work at all the time. Unless you’re set on that exact model I’d save a few more and buy from a trusted seller.

For a 72, im suspicious of the dial. It should say T SWISS T and not T SWISS MADE T. It makes me think that it is a much later replacement of a fake dial. Also, it looks like someone polished the crystal and the magnifier is wonky from the polishing. Not a big deal because the crystal can be replaced at a minimal fee.
The price is not great but about the top end of its worth.

Having said that it doesn't actually say T Swiss Made T on the image - which is a bit strange as obviously youd expect the images to match the description. The description of the watch im interested in says "original dial" so I'm going to email the seller and ask for an explanation/clarification. Thanks again If anyone else knows of a "T Swiss Made T" dial on a 70's 6694 please let me know |

This is the 6694 that I recently sold. It is from 1977 and is all original and correct. Notice it just says SWISS.

I personally believe that watch is overpriced. As mentioned, you can save a little more and get into a newer datejust. What exactly are you looking for? Do you require all steel, steel and white gold bezel, or steel and yellow gold?

I’ll talk with a friend of mine who is excellent at locating watches. I’ll let you know if he can source one. No promises though, because the Oysterdate doesn’t seem as easy to come by as the Datejust
