Well the Blue dial SkyDweller has just got that much harder to find

If I’m not mistaken Roger Federer was wearing a blue dial SkyDweller as he accepted the winners trophy at the Australian Open. 20 Grand Slam wins from a record 30 contested, what can you say.

Seriously. It doesn't get better than this for advertising. If what has been posted on this forum is true and SS production is about to be cut, blue Sky Dwellers are going to become very hard to get hold of.

Him wearing the D-Blue for the Semis probably means the DSSD is not going to be discoed this year.

Many congrats to Roger! Going to watch the highlights now. Didn't think Cilic stood a chance, I had him in a sweepstake at Wimbledon last year and Roger beat him easily.

And for the US-based tennis fans who didn't stay up all night to watch it live, but were looking forward to seeing the tape delay broadcast this morning...thanks for the seemingly non-spoiler alert subject.

100% skydweller. The inner ring gives it away. Beautiful reference!

what was his wife Mirka wearing on her wrist? Seems like a Rolex submariner or Tudor dive watch in rose gold with rubber B?

Nah...he was one of the first to get that watch after it was released. So...I don't think it's going to have much impact on whether the rest of us can get one or not.

Probably is........it is arguable that Rolex could not have signed up a better or more popular sportsperson.......not sure you could go past him!

Appropriate piece to wear as he'll be globetrotting once again.

Wow, I can’t believe how much influence a tennis player has. I guess paid embassitors are a very effective marketing on some. I personally would be more impressed if a influential celebrity wore a product without being paid to do so as it is a more honest expression of their taste and style.

Not the first time he's worn one; he had one in March/April time frame of 2017 at the Miami Open.

I have doubts this will affect availability. At least not in the states.

Just saw the match, and wow, Roger was a bit lucky there, Cilic was playing the best tennis of either of them in the 4th set and looked like he'd win it, but credit to Roger for weathering the storm and keeping his game solid as Cilic's fire inevitably had to dip a little. He has 20 GS and great chance for 2 more this year. 5 sets for a 36 year old in a GS final and his body still looks good, truly amazing.

What I found really strange is that he didn’t wear or maybe even have his Sky Dweller until the final. He played most of the tournament wearing a 116505 and then put on the Cameron to have a SS blue dial watch. I always assumed that Rolex ships these watches straight to Roger.

It also looked like it wasn’t even sized for him. It was really loose on his wrist. While he’s not known to wear watches really tight, this one was really loose. Almost as if he just got it and put it on without removing any links and Roger doesn’t have a big wrist.

Yes, Cilic was the better player by far. I’m a huge Fed fan but this is the truth. He looked resigned after the 4th set loss. That terrible service game in the 4th was just a nervous train wreck. Still he managed to pull it off and it’s just remarkable. I’ve never seen a ceremony and speech like that.

Not on his left arm, that is. Almost all regular tennis players have *significantly* larger forearms and wrists on their racket hand - many professionals' are grossly so.

Well done, R.F. Your are the classiest champion of our time!
