16613 sub

Howdy guys,

An opportunity came along for a 2015 16613 two tone 18k blue face/bazele, no papers, it is authentic, alway loved the look but avoided anything sport rolex that is not stainless as I knew they had harder time retaining value.... What does the market give to these models if I was to move on it? I see them on line from 7-12k used.... Thats all over the map....

The 16613 5 digit Sub was not made in the year 2015! It was replaced years ago by the ceramic bezel 116613 6 digit reference. Post some images of the watch, otherwise nobody here won't be of much help to you.

Hi Sharon, the ones closer to the 7-9.5 k are most probably 16613 the ones above are usually 116613.

I've seen them online for about $9.5k and up (USD).

The problem with this though, is that you might have to sell it yourself, which seems like it may not be easy if you don't have the experience and reviews and all like other members do (I'm not sure if you do).

So, if you wanted to sell, it might be easier to sell to a trusted buyer/seller.

However, I don't know how much less they would pay than the current market value.

For example, if you see one at a website for $10k, I'm assuming the seller isn't going to pay you $10k.

I wonder what the standard is...

$1k less than the market?

$2k less than the market?

$4k less than the market?!!!!

I believe the OP is looking to buy, not sell.

Is it a sunburst dial or flat blue? Condition?

A lot of variables...

Lacking papers on a modern Rolex for a lot of people is a deal breaker. If you are getting a good deal up front in all likelihood you'll need to pass it on if you decide it's not right for you.

@seal13il
For a private sale $7K is a fair price provided that the watch is in all original, "very good" condition and may need a service sooner rather than later. I'm also accounting for the lack of box and papers. Is it a P serial?
I couldn't give a 100% "BUY" recommendation with seeing thorough pic documentation of the watch. Also, for what it's worth, I have a 1990 16613 and it is a beautiful watch indeed.

Price seems steep without box/papers. I put a lot of value on B/P.

I apologize.

When Sharon said "What does the market give to these models if I was to move on it?" I thought she was asking "what can I get for it if I were to sell it?"

As she did talk about them losing value as compared to SS models.

Sorry if I misunderstood OP.
