Sea Dweller collection is growing...
Over the past year or two I have had a growing interest in the Sea Dweller. I started my Rolex collection with the 50th Anniversary Sub and thought my diver collection was complete. But over the last few years I’d read more about the history and see all the incomings and my interest grew.
My first SD pickup was the SD4K. What a watch. Slightly larger than the sub but fits well on my wrist. The next pickup was the SD43. Winner winner. Absolutely love it. I never thought the DSSD was going to be a watch for me, but the technological advances in that watch drew me in. I was able to try one on a few weeks ago and the size wasn’t as big as I thought it would be. Definitely thick, but fits on my wrist. Wears smaller than 44mm I think, compared to a PAM I owned a while back. Must have something to do with their crown guard and how I wear my watches. The James Cameron was the one I wanted. 3-4 folks on the lists at AD’s here locally and above MSRP from the grays. I was going to be traveling this past weekend and called a few AD’s along the route. The first one laughed and said they hadn’t had one in over a year. The second HAD one!! Sitting in the safe. Less than 50 miles between those two AD’s...strange right? Swung by, paid for it, and they shipped to me! It’s now here, on my wrist. I’ll have to take a picture of the three SD’s tonight. What do you think? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Awesome,
I can definitely understand the SD passion as I share a very similar addiction myself. Now if I were you I would look for vintage pieces.. DRSD perhaps? Congratulations!

Man those pics really make me want one. I had a chance to buy one from my AD a few months ago and passed it up.
Enjoy that beauty!

Yes! DRSD is high up on that list of next. Just hard to navigate that vintage market these days. Eyes are always open, although I need to slow it down. Lol. Lots of additions this past year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That same AD had a sub no date (114060) in the case if anyone is still looking. Feel free to PM me for info.

Beautiful watch, one of the most beautiful dial color schemes in my opinion.
Looks good on you too, man you have big hands, one less thing to worry about in presidential debates if you ever choose to run.

Thanks Clay. Your beauty shots of your DSSD definitely had some sway. The glidelock is pretty nifty on this beast. Much faster adjustment over the other SD and sub setup. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
