Worst TV Show Ever

Superdog’s thread on the Bachelor TV show got me to thinking about how many bad shows are out there. I’ve seen the Bachelor (never a full episodes) and I agree it’s just awful. For whatever reason the women in my family seem to like it.
So what’s the worst TV show in your opinion?
I’ll start, for me it’s The Shahs of Sunset. Never have I seen a bigger train wreck. Absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever. It makes any the “The Real Wives...” series look intelligent.

Anyone have other nominations?

The better question is "Is there anything good out there?"

In the last two years its all gone downhill.

That 'Duck Dynasty' show is pretty awful.

That new show 'Baskets' with Louis C.K. is pretty bad too.

Both of those are unwatchable in my opinion.

My wife watches some of those. She also watches 'The Bachelor.' I can't stand them but she doesn't give me crap about the shows on Velocity that I watch so I don't say anything about her shows. It keeps the peace in the house.

Some of my favorites are:

Iron Resurrection (this is probably one of my favorite shows right now, they do some really nice work)
FantomWorks
Chasing Classic Cars
Bitchin Rides
Wheeler Dealers (although, it was better when Edd China was on it)

Hard to rate anything I don’t watch. However I have to believe any show that is based on or celebrates dysfunction as being good or normal as being a bad thing. I now look at Married with Children, Rosanne and reality shows all starting this craze.

Actually, the trend toward the rude and crude family sitcoms started with Norman Lear in the late Sixties or early Seventies.

It's been downhill ever since.

That's the main reason I don't have a television and haven't for most of my adult life.

The UK version of Jersey Shore called Geordie Shore is abominable, makes Kim Kardashian look like Princess Diana.

Most commercial viewing seems garbage to me. I have to REALLY hunt for anything good. Mostly dont watch TV anymore rather opting to pick my viewing on internet and rent the ocasional good movie and leave it at that.

I don't watch:

Any and all fake reality shows.

Anything with vampires or zombies.

Any show with a laugh track.

Any show with revenge plots.

Any super hero shows.

Ok. There aren't any good shows on network tv.

Everything I watch is recorded to eliminate commercials, and I watch a lot of netflix.

i thought the same thing, until i moved to the UK. All the good shows are british shows these days. Its true. Even the original british version of the office is better and i loved the office.

Look up "an idiot abroad", with karl pilkington. Hilarious and reality tv at its best. Scripted dramas though, there are a lot of gems.

Completely agree, a couple of my favorites are vintage British TV shows, "Keeping up appearances" and "As time goes by."

Don't forget most of the comedies from Norman Lear and others were direct rip-off of British shows.

Honey Boo Boo
Anything Kardashian
Anything with the Housewives
Anything on Fox
Anything on CNN

Honey Boo Boo is at the top of the list and the the world's worst because of the way the show exploited that family, especially that little girl.

We all know why the Kardashian's are horrible to watch, and watching the Housewives screaming and fighting all the time ..It's pure madness

The news networks I mentioned are horrible for obvious reasons

I forgot to mention the TV show I saw a story about that is being produced for dogs to watch. From what I remember you have to pay a subscription price, and your dog watches it.

I can assure you Diesel would never be concerned with it. Like most normal dogs, Diesel does the normal things dogs do like chase cats, keep me busy when he wants to catch the ball or frisbee. He could careless about TV. The only time Diesel gets concerned is if dinner is late.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention a show called catfish. I always thought a catfish was something that swam around in the water. Besides, who falls in love with another person without even meeting that person face to face. It's a crazy show, but I do watch it when I have sleepless nights and I forgot to record the latest episode of RuPaul.

the sad part of most of those shows are the "ego boost" aspect that it appeals to. People feel better about themselves by seeing dysfunctional families. That speaks volumes about how sick people are getting when that is pleasurable.

It was probably similar to the romans watching people getting eaten by lions in the Colosseum, it made them feel better about their own lives because at least they were not the lion's dinner.

There are two British shows I like to watch which are reruns because the entire cast have all passed away.

Are you being served
Grace and favour .

Both shows are funny and I can't stop laughing when I watch them.
