Incoming & A Serious First World Problem
Okay, so the Rolex that first brought me to the brand was not the first Rolex that I ended up buying. I was seeking a Sub ND but found and very much liked a BLNR. Like many a first-time buyer, I allowed myself to get distracted.
Long story short, the BLNR did not suit me well (the PCLs scratched easily and the extra "pop" worked better as an idea in the showroom than as a daily wearer in my everyday casual life) and I sold it a few months after buying it. I was going to have that Sub ND! But I couldn't find one easily, so I decided to wait for my AD to get one while biding my time by buying what I at first considered to be a "cheaper" alternative. Damn, that "cheaper" alternative ended up suiting me so very well that when I finally did get the Sub ND (today!!) and returned home, I found myself realizing just how much I LOVE this damned "cheaper" alternative...this Pelagos in-house... Of course, I will be taking those stickers and bezel protector off soon, I just know it. But this Pelagos ended up surprising me to such an extent that I can't help but wonder which will end up getting more wrist time. I never imagined that the Pelagos would get any love after the Sub ND arrived. Hmmm. I feel like I got everything backwards. But I am also STOKED to have, after so many distractions, landed the watch that I've wanted for quite some time. Uh, yes, I'm still wearing the Pelagos as I type this. |

I felt the same way about the Pelagos, and it fits you very well. That was until I got he new SD43 with the larger case. Maybe check into that as well.

I tried them on side by side today; I am definitely one who prefers the ND.
But you know what? The Pelagos has a date but doesn't look like it does because it doesn't rely on the "cyclops" (which, blasphemy I know, is exactly what I don't like about the Sub date). |

Place the Rolex on your wrist and within a week you will understand why the Sub it is the archetype of the diver watch. The Pelagos is beautiful too.

I think once you get the Sub ND on the wrist it will quickly take over the wrist time. The bezel and bracelet are amazing.

Two great watches! Nothing wrong with falling in love with a watch to a greater extent than you expected. Enjoy them!

Flip the black Pelagos for the blue so you don’t have 2 black dialed divers.

Two beautiful watches! Sell the Pelagos and get a DJ silver or white dial to cover all bases!

I tried on the Pelagis for the first time last week and I was surprised at how great it felt on the wrist!

Congrat, and great choice in Watches! For me, my blue Pelagos gets far more wrist time than any of my Rolex.

Both great watches. I have been debating getting a Tudor when I caught the Rolex bug.
Personally I'd always want the Sub date as I just love the look of the cyclops and being able to easily read the date. But if you prefer no date.....I'd say keep both....but I bet a hundred bucks after wearing the sub for a bit....you'll dig it more than the Tudor. Give it a try! |

Both great watches with a different "character" and looks. Enjoy the new Sub along with the Pelagos!
