Had a call yesterday from Ernest Jones in Kingston offering me a milgauss that I had on order.
As i already have a GV i turned them down. The GV was the only one i've ever pre-ordered from an AD I presume the offer was for a GV
Ring them ASAP.

Hope this helps

Still on the lookout, so please report any sightings

I'd recommend getting on a waiting list. I can pass on the details of my local AD if you'd like, but there's still a very limited supply I'm afraid.

The good ole boys in USA are laughing at us Brits right now. They can't figure out how it's possible that there is a GV, DSSD and SS Daytona shortage here????
Neither can we, so please help us out.........

I am next on the list at one of my ADs and am unlikely to take the GV when it finally arrives. I have cooled off the watch and the flip potential is not really worth the hassle.

So as and when this happens I will likely put the watch on hold and get word out on TRF.

the Gv is a bit like marmite, you either love it or hate it. For me the GV is an investment for years down the line, the watch will be discontinued in a few years (5) then wil be come a collectors piece over time.

My opinion is based on info given to me by 3 different people that work for Rolex in the Uk and one other who is based at rolex Hq in Geneva, who i have known for over 20 years.

Aprt from that you have a great watch in the daytona that you have, I love my ss daytona with the WG slate face fitted....

Be patient all good things come to those that wait.

I will wave my magic wand and speak to my contact, as i have had 5 GVs this year.

Nice gesture fella.

List on the 14060 is a touch over £3140, www.watchfinder.co.uk have them BNIB in stock for £2983 (5%). You'll get a pre-owned 2008 one for £2500 I'd have thought...

Amazing how the US appears to be awash with SS Daytona's and GV's yet us lot in the UK can barely get either. I know I am patiently waiting on a reserve list, for when the main list is exhausted, for a SS Daytona! If the £ had not dropped by 25% in recent months some of the BNIB SS Daytona's offered by US members here would have made great purchases for us.

Much appreciated Marke - Wave away, my fingers are crossed

I get the marmite thing BTW. For me its just having something that little bit different to another black-face sports model. Also looking forward to waving it at every power generator I walk past

I'm with you xbox.

been looking for a GV in UK for about a year!!!

Found one in central london and the guy said I could have it only if I bought another watch from him ( a graham). So that idea quickly died...

They are being reserved for "good" customers (much like the SS Daytona) and as I have always bought from disparate sources I'm not "in" with anyone.

Hopefully TRF can come to the rescue one day, for both of us.

I know you can buy them today on the grey market but to me its not the same as getting from an AD. that's part of the "magic" for me.
