Milgauss or Expy II

Guys I really want a white dial and am torn between the Milgauss and the Expy II. Since I already have the Sub I'm leaning toward the Milgauss. I love the orange markings but don't like the fact it has no date. Also I beleive the bracelet is different. Price and resale are not important. Opinions please... Thanks
Boyd

You can't beat the clean look of the EX 2. Either way you will get a great watch.

X2 While the Mil is exceptional, I really like the Explorer II.

Try them both on. They are both readily available at most AD's.

They fit differently in my opinion. The shape is also different.

The expy II feels much smaller and fits very comfortable. Love the red hand too! The milgauss feels big to me for some reason. Looks like an oversized datejust with no date. I think it looks bigger b/c there is more face on the watch as the bezel is much smaller.

You really need to try them on however.

I'd have to go with the Exp II.

The white dial Explorer II is the "cleanest" Rolex. This is my son's watch:

i never liked the milgauss. unless you are working near an MRI machine or any electornagmetic field i think it's an ok watch. then again i have an explorer II so i might be bias i like the 24 hour feature, gmt feature, it's simplicity, simply elegant in my opinion.

I would take the Milgauss simply because I like the extra weight on it... However, I would only go with the Milgauss GV. The Regulars are missing some 'punch'.

Tough choice...

I think that it takes quite a leap to jump on the new Milgauss with it's refreshing bold looks, and it's clean lines..

I like it..... It's on my short list.... But I just can't say enough about the EXP II that I already have.

Definitively Exp II. Looks great and is more comfortable than the Milgauss (not that the Milgauss is uncomfortable). I have both.

Give me an Explorer II polar dial any day of the week.

I've handled a white Milgauss before but found it a less comfortable on my wrist. Also, the orange lightning second hand does not appeal to me and does not really look all that classy IMO. The lack of a date feature is also a minus for me.

The Explorer II is my all time favorite white dial sports watch ever made in the world.

So yeah, another vote for the Explorer II here.

I had the EXPII white dial, to me it just doesn't feel right on the wrist. Especially the small crown, and flimpsy bracelet...didn't like it.

currently I have the white dial Milgauss, although it has no date, it is rug, hefty, look great, just like it better than the EXPII.

Like to add I also had a GMT II Pepsi, like the EXPII it doesn't do much for me.

Go for the Milgauss because it offers something different from the standard Rolex look which is - bezel, Cyclops-fitted date window, "Mercedez'' hands and Oyster bracelet. You already have all of these in your Sub. Good luck choosing!

I'm not a fan of Explorer, so personally I'd pick the Milgauss....

imho the explorer wins hands down, such a clean timeless look,it gets more wrist time than my lv or gmt, when iam in the mood for a rollie.and i must say it is one of the most comfortable watches i have ever owned.

Exp II. Since you have a sub, maybe get a polar dial for contrast.

Personally, I won't wear a watch without a date feature on it, so Milguass would never be my thing.

Milgauss. Bigger dial, super comfy case, matte black dial, anti-magnetic case (Propably will not need, but extra protection never hurt!) and simple time only function. A very rugged watch IMHO. Plus the lightning bolt second hand is pretty cool I personally think.

The Black Dial MG is my first choice in the MG lineup, followed by the White Dial. The Green Crystal GV version does not do it for me, as do not like the orange hour markers at 3,6,9 only or the green crystal.

Gotta love the MilGauss...

But then I am a little biased I suppose. IMHO I think it is a bit "dressier" than the EXP II.
