Well after 5 years of great service I have retired my Casio G-Shock. It has served me well and literally been all over the globe on my wrist.


i replaced it with this. unfortunately i couldn't get my unit to purchase the watch with their funds, but i still got a price close to the military rate.




and i had to get the US bracelet:




initial impressions:
i was worried that it would be too bulky for my small wrists, but it is perfect. weight and size are very similar to the g-shock. synthetic band is a bit stiff but i am sure it will loosen up. enjoy the pics :)

thats a legandry military watch..its a great buiy and I know some civilians waiting for nearly a year to buy that watch...its a great piece..congrats..I have my heart set on one of those when/if I join the police force in my country (will be anothey year and a half even if I clear the test in first attempt :( )..hey then I will sure contact you my friend..actually can you get me a simple non-tritium tube SAR? I would buy it in the next three months if you get me one without the U.S. gov marking..I think that shud be special for the priviliged military that its intended for..

hey and I also have the exact similar G-shock you have...great beater and very comfy..love that watch too...guess we share tastes ;) thnx a lot for sharing...do keep sharing from timeto time how the Marathon performs..thnx once again.

asadtiger, unfortunately this is a one time only purchase. i'm not allowed to buy more than one for specifically the reason you me to! they do sell them at www.countycomm.com. good luck!

letsgodiving: it is really strange that they weigh similarly. the GSAR weighs a tiny bit more, but not nearly as much as my speedy..maybe i'm just stronger than i realize! (just kidding, i'm a wimp)

hey thnx a lot SLC for your reply...I tried the site you gave..it didn't have my specs watch but I got directed to broadarrow.net...thats a place that quite has a probability of finding one for me..thank you very much :) Its a beauty.

I searched the net for its weighs..it amazingly weighs only 93 gms..thats less than what I expected for that monster

got tired of the stiff rubber band so i had the bracelet put on. while the clasp isn't as nice as my speedy, i'm not scared it's going to accidentally fall off (which is why it's my work watch :) ) i've also read a lot of complaints about it not keeping time accurately. i gain about 6-7 seconds in a 24h period. not bad by my standards.

Nice, I have the same watch only mine is a Stocker and Yale. Back in the 90's Marathon and Stocker & Yale had a big competition with who was going to release the tritium tubes first. Marathon won with Stocker and Yale coming a close second. Great watch, I got mine about 10 years ago and it still ticking and keeping great time. Still have glow in the tubes as well, unfortunately the crown has been coming loose on the stem if I go to set the time so I don't trust it's water resistance but it still runs like a champ. Here's mine...note the similarities?
