Wrist Shot Perspective

Did a little photo shoot to update our website.

I found it interesting to see how my 42mm Explorer 2 looked in pictures.

I’m not a big guy. 5’10” 180 lbs. 7” wrist.

The watch, which I often used to think was way too big, looks quite small in my opinion. I’m fact, perfect. Big up close, great visibility. Smallish from just a few feet off.

Thought this perspective might be helpful to some.

LMAO. When I was a kid, all I did was bench press, and curls.

I am paying for it now. Working on building the back and shoulders daily to create more balance. It is a never ending battle though.

I suppose I could have worse problems. But I could also stand to lose about 10lbs right now.

Am I the only one who thinks the watch needs to be a little bit more in focus, I know you are trying to show big it is in real life situation but needs to be a little more focused.

I’m 5’10 180 and I rarely wear a watch above 36MM my daily is a 36MM breitling callisto 2 tone. I think smaller watches are great, I love my 34mm rolexes. Why does it matter how big your watch looks from afar?

Because every wrist shot ever tends to be up close. Which is not necessarily an accurate perception of the watch.

This thread was simply to show how it looks from afar.

Sorry dude. The picture was not taken for the watch.

And the thread was simply to show perspective from far away.

Looking fit my friend! A tucked in shirt is a good sign, especially when it is not bursting at the love handles!! Keep it up!

This is the same advice I usually type in the "Is this too big for me" threads. Wristies ideally need to be taken from about six feet away to give a realistic view of how the watch looks in real life.

I'm 5'13", 200lbs with a 7.25" wrist and I thought the Exp II was way too big on me until I saw a shot of it from a bit further away.

Is it safe to wear a Rolex during a photo shoot??

Looks great, Seth. My 42mm Explorer II looks the same on my wrist. It's perfect IMO.

I think it looks good, as we gradually start wearing bigger watches our perception changes, 42 is the new 40..

Looking good! Obviously, I'm a little partial to the explorer II.

Seriously, how many push ups before this pic?
