Rolex & Mark Weber
If you haven’t checked their YouTube channel lately, I recommend it. Some amazing videos.
This one tells the story of Weber’s GMT. Racing driver Mark Webber was born in Australia and moved to the UK in 1995 to pursue his dream, eventually making his Formula 1 debut in 2002 under the vigilant eye of his mentor and close friend, circuit legend Sir Jackie Stewart. His major break came in 2009 when he won the German Grand Prix, achieving eight podiums in that championship year. This victory spurred him to get his first Rolex, a GMT-Master II, as a symbol of all the effort and sacrifice he had put into the sport. He made the move to endurance racing in 2014, with that very first Rolex still on his wrist. https://youtu.be/DaH7mopDdJE Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I remember watching Mark racing at Oran Park in Sydney during the Formula Holden series in 1993. If I recall correctly he won on the day.
Formula Holden was a downforce open wheeler car using a 3.8 V6 from Holden / General Motors. Cheers |

Still my wife’s favorite F1 driver. Had the chance to meet him at an event years ago during the Canadian G.P. weekend.
