Not your everyday seiko
This isn’t your run of the mill seiko. It’s not even an automatic. But those who are born in my era and played the first version of metal gear solid might appreciate this watch.
It is a collaboration between wired and seiko. Producing this, the AGAM 404. While this isn’t the watch from metal gear solid v, the phantom pain. It is rather similar, and much cheaper. At USD 220 as compared to USD 1,100 for the MGS watch. Since this is also the Rolex forum, here is a size comparison shot of this watch next to my Rolexes. And since this is also a Seiko sub forum, here is a size comparison shot of this compared to the mighty Marine Master 300 While I don’t usually fancy digital watches, I can’t help but get attracted to the square case, retro design, NATO strap and blacked out case and dial. The original nato strap that came with the watch was rather thick and I switched it to one of my own regular nato straps. It is comfortable to wear and something a little different from what is out there. It is chunky and has some heft to it. But I also wear a PAM and it’s comparable to one while not quite as heavy. While it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, I like the fact that you can’t just walk into a store and buy it off the shelf. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
