What is up with the Pam00660?

I really like the look of the watch with the blue, I just don't understand why it is priced so cheap? I can get brand new all box and papers 2018 for £2900 from a dealer I have bought from in the past. I didn't gravitate towards it because of the price I am just wondering what is wrong with it, the price is actually putting me off

In short, snapback case, integrated bezel and spring bars.

I really have no expertise in Panerai, i have 112 I enjoy. So this isn't one to recommend to add just as a daily wearer? What about the movement in this one? I appreciate your input

Let me chip in. IMO - you should consider a good condition 114 or 561. 561 actually replaces the 114.

114 is the exactly the same with 112 but in white. It’s not expensive too.

114 is screw-in case back, water resistant at 300 meters, screw pins for the straps/lugs and very reliable movement OP X (Same as 112) and much cheaper to service and by any watch maker because of the ETA base movement.

From what I have read now the 660 is only 30m waterproof? Thanks for the suggestion, yes 114 looks good and I am after white dial

I think it is a good watch but as mentioned earlier several factors are playing on the value. Panerai has a lot of cool offerings but unless you can buy right you will lose on a trade or sell. My friend just bought the 499 which is a 1950 case, white dial and second hand. Give it a look.

Not that I don't want it because it's cheap, what is wrong with the watch sprang to mind

And I actually didn't mean its cheap-cheap. I meant "cheaper than the others". When does £2900 considered to be "cheap"? haha

but to your question of whats wrong with the watch ... the answer (to me) is NOTHING.

At least I don't think there is anything wrong with it. It may not have the same features as other Panerai, but it is what it is. As long as you know what you are getting into before you pull the trigger, I think its all good.

Its still a Panerai, with 44mm Luminor case, manual wind movement, takes 24mm straps ...

White dial Panerai, as least in the 44mm Luminor format, has never been popular. But I like them, that makes them more unique. I got a 114 of my own.

If you like the blue on white dial, don't mind spring bars, snap back, and all the other stuff mentioned, its a perfectly fine watch to own and to wear.
