How do you guys unwind after work ?

Daughters at university & other 1/2 goes to gym most week days so gives me time now to do stuff myself during week after work. This evening was a run up to Inveraray on the motorbike. Got a fish supper dinner up there too

Maybe a cycle tomorrow night :.)

Fish supper looks great. It’s normally the first thing I buy when I get off the airplane and a can of irn bru.

After work normally dinner then gym then a little bit of Netflix and take care of any other business.

Same here but instead of unwinding, all these young whippersnappers with their Hulks and Batmans give me elevated heartbeat and high blood pressure.

Not 'after work', but I simply don't work Monday PM. I take the entire PM off and go to the steam room. I listen to an audio book every time tho.

Then hang out poolside.

PS: I wear my Sub for that.

I do crossfit 3x a week at night. It's something that I look forward to doing and it really helps me get my mind off of work. I wish I could go more, but because of my work schedule and class hours, I can only manage 3x a week.

Winter - get on my indoor bike trainer 3 times a week for an hour, then some TV
Summer - go on my bike for a couple of hours 2 or 3 times a week, then some TV

Hard or even soft exercise like this is a great way to detach myself from work. Especially in summer when I am out on the open roads, sparsely populated by cars in the Lancashire countryside, enjoying the views and the fresh air. Or on the mountain bike off road on some isolated West Pennine moorland trails.

I have a 30 minute walk home from the office which is a great way to process the day and plan the next.

Never really switch off fully though (in a positive sense), as always on the lookout for new thoughts/ ideas.

Wouldn't have necessarily expected that from someone with that particular avatar

While I agree that I don't need to 'unwind' from work. I do think I need to RECHARGE overall.

For example, I just arrived from an entire week of onsite-client meetings and I am completely beat up. I had to take a red eye home.

So again, I don't need to forget work itself, but I do need to recharge.

For this reason alone, I am setting up a pool/jacuzzi combo in my house this year. I call it my "super charger'".

Lets just say I'm skimping on watches after I get my current 'incoming' PP.

Here's some renders:

Typically with some of Kentucky's finest on the rocks, my lovely bride, and this view from the backyard of our ol' Kentucky home.

Gym, movie theater, baseball games, hockey games, and grilling. The baseball and hockey are both minor league teams in my city, so it's not too expensive to go.

Workout daily early before work. Frequently go out and play golf and enjoy a cigar after work. If no golf, at least a cigar.

Right after work.... on my drive home I shift gears in an old sport car.
When I get home....I go for a jog.... then dream about sports cars.
When I lay down to bed, I dream about COTA laps......
When I wake up I go to work to pay for sports cars and more laps :)
