Share your Christmas experience

G’day everyone
In the northern hemisphere it is cold and snowing. I remember this magical time from when I was a boy in Switzerland. Sometimes the wind and rain came too, but all I remember is the snowmen, sleighs and Santa. A nice warm fireplace was great also.

However here in Australia, it is in the middle of summer with temperatures of up to 35oC. Luckly this year it is a bit cooler with rain being the closest thing to snow.

Here is a wrist shot with some traditional Aussie tucker (aka food) such as; fresh oysters, prawns, Balmain bugs, crabs and tomorrow a Lobster hmmm. Naturally some great wine is an essential item.

Our little plastic tree with some nice ornaments.

On the 26th of December the Rolex Sydney to Hobart yacht race beings.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas and I hope Santa was kind to the WIS.

Rene, I'm happy that you're a member of this forum. Have a great Christmas and a better New Year!

I have lived in the northern United States my entire life. Christmas means snow and cold - only abated by the warmth of family during this season. Real Christmas trees (not fake) and a warm fireplace are in my memory as well.

This sums up my Christmas nicely:

OH - I've eaten too much daddy!

Wonder if I can tickle my own foot?

Might be even funnier if I tickle both?

Neil, that's precious. I had a wonderful Christmas. I spent the morning with my brothers and their wives and then the afternoon with my kids, their spouses and the grandsons. All in all, a glorious day.

It made both my wife and I laugh.

Nice photos ! I woke up yesterday to cool Nor Cal weather, then strapped on my SD and proceeded to open gifts with my wife. We had a quiet Christmas day, and filled with joy

Neil you must be so proud. What a handsome young man We had one of our best Christmas' ever. All kids and grandkids were here and beleive it or not, everyone got along Presents were fewer and less expensive. We just enjoyed having the family together. As far as the food and spirits, it was all top shelf, we spared no expense
