AP ROOS v RO Chronograph

Anyone enlighten me on the technical difference between a Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chrono and the AP Royal Oak Chrono.

The latter was first produced in 73 and the former is 93. Other than being waterproof upto 100 metres. What else is there?

What is the more collectable?

Thanks.

AJF.

so many differences ...

ROO (Royal Oak Offshore) is a lot bigger, thicker and heavier. There are probably a zillion different versions of the ROO. The ROO is definitely the watch which has the most Limited editions.

The movement is different too.

I prefer the looks of the RO (royal oak) but I never bought one. On the other hands I had several ROO's because they are bigger and imo a sportswatch needs to be big.

I they would make a 42 mm RO I would buy one.

Follow this link and you'll see all the different RO ans ROO
