Power Reserve Miracle?

Okay guys (and gals) please ridicule me (or educate me) on this one. Long story short. I don’t have a watch safe. So if I’m wearing my Milgauss I usually (hide) my 116610lv (Hulk) in one of my suit jackets hanging in my closet. Anyways, in anticipation of our cleaning service coming to the house on (Monday morning) I put my Hulk in my suit pocket on Sunday night. Fast forward to Friday morning. I pull the Hulk out of of my suit pocket to wear for some weekend activities and it’s still sweeping. Please explain. I apologize, in advance, for being ignorant.

1. Your wife knows where you hide the watch and wears it during the day.
2. You’re a sleepwalker and wear the watch at night and replace it without knowing.
3. You have the Hanukkah story of Rolex Subs.

Haha. I’m beginning to think #1 but it’s the damndest thing. It’s mechanically impossible right? She is home with our infant. That’s the only outlier. I guess I’ve never paid attention but on a dead stop - if you put it on it takes quite a bit of walking around before it starts moving again right? $hit, maybe she’s got a boyfriend on the side that found it and wore it around the house.

Did you check if the date is correct? If yes then it was worn during the week by someone

If the time and date were correct then you're house is haunted.
Other wise it is quite possible that it just started up from the activity of recovering it from the jacket.
I have been in ADs where the watch was stopped and by the time they pull it out give it a wipe down and pass it to me, it is running.

Had the same thing happened with my ND sub yesterday. It was stopped for a few days. When I went to pick it up to readjust the time, it was only one minute fast. I know it was stopped, just coincidentally when I picked it up it was right on time.

Also like it when the watch just dies at " watch time", 10:08.

I did try to wait for the watch to stop. Figured I would let it stop for a minute and then pick it up again to wind it. 25 minutes later it was still going strong. I did not think that it could get that much power Reserve from just picking it up.

I think you need a new cleaning service if you are hiding your watches.

Get that thing to Christie's and auction it off! It's the miracle LV and worth millions!

All joking aside, how much were you in the closet this week pulling suits down, hanging them back up, etc? I wonder if you moved the suit you hid it in just enough to give it a slight wind.

Do you have kids? They can be sneaky SOBs and may know your hiding spot.

When you went to grab it moving the jacket and picking it up jogged the watch enough for it to start up again.

I think it was the same thing as a Mr. K. I think it had stopped and just by a stroke of luck was stopped on the exact time (off a minute or two) when I went to grab it (7:30) and must of started because I jiggled the suit jacket.

I’m in there every morning and probably brush against the jacket twice a day because it’s a pretty narrow walk in closet.

The date was off, but a lot of times if I’m in a hurry I just set the time and don’t adjust the date.

I’ll keep everyone posted. Happy to hear others have had similar experiences. I was beginning to get a little nervous my wife had a new boyfriend. :)

You know/trust your cleaners well enough to leave a $10k watch sitting out in the open?

No kidding, lol. If I had a cleaning service I'd have them stored in a safe with a camera on the safe.

Yes 100%. My sub will be sitting right in the watch case tomorrow when they come and dust it.

It’s 3 people and they come bi weekly for the past 4 years. It’s not a company or anything where people change out on a regular basis. I use a safe just to protect important documents from fire. Anything of value is insured.

Like others have said it probably started up when you grabbed it out of the jacket. On the other hand if the time and date were still correct then someone is wearing it while you are at work
