The spiral coiled thing, at the top of the movement is that mainspring that powers the movement, am I right?

I guessed too, but I am no watchmaker. It must be somewhere under those two wheels, which moves while you wind.

Pity that inhouse movements are so hidden by bridges, it would be very nice to see all of them exposed for us to marvel. I thought what's the point of case back on say,. 233 if you can only see fancy wording and that spinning thing!

TN: can you open the movement out and do macro shots on them as you take each part out one by one!
