Watches to avoid

I was looking around youtube and found this video.

It talks about some of the things that are frequently brought up in the Rolex General Discussion page.

Below is the link if anyone is interested.

Yes everyday there are at least one or two new threads that are covered by this video. Very nicely put together, well articulated and precise. The only unfortunate part about this video is that it even necessary.

I liked it, so many times we forget simple rules that are presented in this video.

Great video and very true. I am definitely guilty of several of these.

A small summary for those of you that don't want to see an 8min video...

It talks about:

-Don't buy a watch from an unknown seller just because you can't seem to find it anywhere else

-Don't buy the watch that is the best investment, buy the one that you love the most

-Don't buy the watch that other people tell you to buy

-Don't buy a watch just because it is cheaper than the one that you really want

-Don't buy a watch for which you haven't taken into consideration the cost of servicing

That's what the video talks about in a nutshell.

But yeah, these topics seems to pop up in the Rolex General Discussion a lot, so I thought I would share the video.

Nice video

You may of course agree or disagree. Or agree to disagree haha

The watchfinder video series are really great. Excellent content, film work and narration too.

Despite them (watchfinder) obviously existing to sell pre-owned watches, their videos never come across as a sales pitch which I think in this type of market area is the best approach.
