Got the call.....
AD rang, conversation was like this...
AD - Hello Sir, we have you down on our list for the Rolex Daytona..... Me - (almost wetting myself  ) Yes I’ve been on the list for about 2 years now I think.AD - We are just going through our list and checking if you are still interested? Me - Absolutely, I am ready to purchase. AD - OK we will leave you on the list and let you know when it’s your turn, we don’t have a timeline though.  Well, at least they did have you on the list and did not just throw the list out after 2 years. I visited an AD last weekend where I put my name down for Daytona about a year ago. When I asked the lady if I am still on the list, she looked embarrassed and just asked for my information again. I have no doubt that piece of paper probably went straight to the trash bin after I left the store. |

Lists for the Daytona don't mean anything at AD's. Sure you can be at the top of the list, but if a celebrity or someone who drops $200,000 a year at the AD suddenly wanted the Daytona, guess who gets bumped right to the top of the list?
