Are you addicted to a soft drink?

Ive been drinking Canada Dry Ginger for over 45 years....they have "changed" the formula many times and not for the better.....but i still drink 24 cans a week or 3 a day at least. My daughter in law says when i die she is going to put a can in the coffin with me holding it....she has never seen anybody drink a softdrinks like i do CDGA...dont know why but i love all ginger ale's its just CDGA is everywhere...There was one native to Michigan that i liked that had a troll or strange looking man on a green can.....cant remember the name of the stuff.
My ex-wife drank diet coke but not like me and Ginger Ale.....good think its not beer or I would be over 400 pounds.

I drink too much soda. But I do not discriminate by type or particular brand.

If there were one I would say I am hooked on it would be Crystal Light lemon iced tea single serve packets. I probably go thru 4-5 a day?? I know it means I am drinking 4-5 bottles of water a day (at least) which is good. But the chemicals in there are probably not good for me. Little to no caffeine in them but lots of other “stuff”.

I'm addicted to the flavored sparkling water like La Croix and Polar. I drink probably 2-3 a day.

Never have, never will be addicted to Sodas.
When I drink too much of them (like on vacations) I feel weird in my stomach. Day to day I only drink water and coffee. But I consume too much coffee.

Wasting money and your health on sodas is like cigarettes to me. I just don't see how it would make sense to spend money to make me live less.

I gave up soda in my very early teens. I’ll drink maybe one or two sodas per year, if that. I also don’t drink my coffee or tea with sugar. Soda is terrible for your health.

Decreased Diet Coke consumption s-l-o-w-l-y. It cost more buying the different sizes from small to smaller then eventually to teeny tiny 8 oz. can. No longer touch it but on an occasional basis

La Croix has a given flavor that kinda tastes like diet cherry coke to me so that’s what I’ve been doing for months now. Only 1-2 cans / day. Body doesn’t like too many bubbles...

But...I do need 1 cup of coffee per day or I’m toast! So I guess I could say I am addicted to caffeine:(-

I don't drink much soda.

when i do, i get a ginger ale,

BUT, my favorite soda of all times and recently i'm able to buy it in the us is

Schweppes Bitter Lemon!

Each time i go shopping to that store, i buy all they have. I love bitter lemon and can't believe it was never popular here. In europe, it's in the soda isle with the rest.

I got through law school on Dr. Pepper. Over the years, I have tapered soda consumption to 2-3 per week. I cannot drink that much sugar without feeling like crap and looking like a chewed up wad of bubblegum.

I am slowly becoming convinced that the refined sugars I used to consume screwed up my health waay too much. Now, I need to figure out how to wean myself off my favorite sweet desserts.

You would be better off with the beer...

That's 105 grams a day of High Fructose corn syrup. I'm not a physician, but I know that's a huge drain on your health and wellness. You're realistically tripling your daily recommended serving of sugar, with no other nutrients whatsoever.

Seriously, I can't imagine how you go through the sugar highs and lows on a daily basis.

I used to be addicted to Diet Coke. At least 2-3 a day. Now it’s maybe 1 a month and i drink a lot of water and the bubble water my office has. Quitting the soda was the best thing i have done. I feel way better.

I like the fizz so I usually drink Perrier or Gerolsteiner or something similar.

If a soft drink it being in a glass bottle is a must or I won't touch it. I like Limca. It is some strange lime soda Coca Cola makes in India. I grab it from my local Indian shop.

The guy that owns the place says I am the only white guy that buys it. lol

I'm not actually addicted in the clinical sense, but I do drink a lot of Great Value Diet Cream Soda, which is my preferred soda.

I also like A&W Diet Root Beer, which used to be my favorite, and Diet Dr. Pepper, which was my favorite before I had to give up caffeine.

I drink a lot of diet soda.

Many say that it will kill me, but since I don't drink alcohol or coffee, eat fatty foods, gorge on sweets, smoke, gamble, or do illicit drugs, I figure I deserve one vice.

Besides, I'm finally too old to die young.

Awesome read: Fat, Salt, Sugar by Michael Moss

It details how food companies engineer food to hook us, just as pharmaceutical companies do. It’s sinister.

Soft drinks are the occasional soda made with sugar and in a glass bottle.

Now Iced Tea on the other hand... I can easily drink a gallon of green iced tea everyday. No lemon or sugar. Just tea and ice.
