Why did I try this AP!!!

Went to my local boutique for the first time , always been curious about the RO and wanted to try it in person.

Problem is that I can’t get it out of my head now of course no blue dial available , black was available immediately and white in a few days , grey in a few weeks I was told , don’t know how accurate these waiting times are with AP boutiques, but I really loved how it felt on my wrist, super comfortable.

It has that effect once on the wrist. I’ll look forward to an incoming soon. :)

It’s a stunning watch - hope you can make the acquisition soon. The current difficulty to find them does make being patient a lot more difficult.

Was this Bal Harbour ?

Looks great on you! Do you have a view on which colour you’d like to get?

No one warned you? The 15400 definitely looks different in person vs pictures, it’s a hard thing to explain.

I just received my blue dial - very happy with it!

The 15400 design is great and I think the white dial would also be an awesome addition - and is versatile enough to get a tonne of wear

One thing I will say is try and get them near a real light source be it window door or even outside (I know not always possible)

The RO dial is one that looks so much better under real light then the AD lighting.

I’ll be honest due to personal taste I’m not a fan of the blue so can’t comment but can say the silver and ruthenium look amazing in sun light! (Especially the routhenium which can look dull in the shop but outside )

Thanks , I like the white dial , Ruthenium looks nice also.

I know these watches are not investments but wondering how these AP Ro retain their value compared to Rolex?, Sorry if this has been discussed I'm new to this AP world.

Thanks.

Retention is pretty strong. But not a big leap up on MSRP like the hottest Rolex models.

Safe bet though you could sell on again at minimal loss. Blue dial is of course the exception to the rule.

My wife doesn't know much about watches. Brand recognition, tradition, etc. But out of all the watches I tried on, she likes the AP 15400 the most. Purely from the look perspective. So she was very supportive when I was talking about getting one.

Very happy with my blue dial 15400!!

I still like to get one but I'm kind of disappointed that the blue dial is so hard to get , I'm on what they call "wishlist" , but don't have any hopes since I'm a new customer and don't have purchase history with any AP boutique.

Looks good. All the colors look nice, doesn't have to be blue, maybe silver? Try to get one!

That's what I'm thinking , will wait until SIHH to see the new releases and then if I can't get a blue allocated for 2019 go with a white /Silver dial.
